Hello! I’m Emily Loker

And I’m so glad you are here!

Coaching Philosophy

My coaching practice is a space to come home—to yourself, your environment, and to each other. I believe in the power of intention and committed action, even small steps, to transform deeply held beliefs, release stagnancy, and open pathways to growth. I hold that all humans have the capacity to heal themselves, support the healing of others, and contribute to the healing of our planet. With compassionate presence and thoughtful questioning, I support you in uncovering aligned, attainable pathways to your goals.

Supporting you to Come Home to Yourself

I work with space—heart, mind, spirit, and physical environment—to support holistic and profound healing. My aim is to help you access the sanctuary within yourself, your home, and your relationships, so you can live from a place of abundance, presence and flourishing.

My Background

I am a career public servant and lifelong advocate for social justice. From serving in AmeriCorps to working in nonprofits and the federal government, and earning a PhD in Communication with a focus on social justice, I have devoted my life to supporting the well-being of individuals, communities, and our collective world. I am passionate about the intersection of individual and collective flourishing, and I believe in the inherent worth and potential of every human being.

Guiding Modalities

My approach is rooted in a diverse foundation of public service and systems change. Throughout my career, I have worked on alleviating suffering and addressing inequities in education, health, and energy. Yet in every context—nonprofit, academia, government—I experienced a tension between the demands of social justice work and the need to treat myself and others as fully human. This dissonance propelled me toward personal healing, and ultimately toward coaching, where I could combine service, insight, and compassion to support others’ journeys.

I am guided by the wisdom of many teachers and modalities, including:

  • Authentic Relating

  • Somatic Abolitionism (Resmaa Menakem)

  • Holistic healing (mind, body, spirit)

  • Community herbalism and the healing power of plants

  • Acupuncture & Acudetox/Acuwellness

  • The inherent wholeness of every human being

  • Connection—both human and more-than-human—as a vehicle for personal and collective healing

  • Healing as a human right; I prioritize accessibility and supporting local and global nonprofits

I believe there is no single “right” way to heal. Each journey is as unique as the person walking it. My role is to walk alongside you, not dictate your steps, and to help you access the wisdom already within you.

We could be a good fit to work together if:

  • You are navigating a period of transition—whether endings or beginnings in relationships, career, or personal growth

  • You are feeling stuck in your life path or healing journey

  • You are curious about how your physical environment—home or workspace—affects your personal growth
